Film/TV - The Golden Globes 2016 Winners
The winners for the 73rd annual Golden Globe awards have been announced in Los Angeles...
The Revenant did best at this year's Golden Globes, announced overnight in Los Angeles at an event hosted by Ricky Gervais. The film won the main award of best dramatic film along with Leonardo DiCaprio picking up best actor in a drama, and Alejandro G Inarritu getting best Director.
Ridley Scott hit The Martian was named best comedy or musical film (still don't know why it's a comedy) with Matt Damon picking up the best actor Globe for that category.
Steve Jobs picked up the award for Aaron Sorkin's screenplay - making the biopic the only other multiple film winner of the night as Kate Winslet, picking up the best supporting actress award for her role in the film.
Also good to see Sylvester Stallone getting recognition for his role in the film Creed with a best supporting actor Globe.
Amazon was the big winner in the television categories, with two wins each for original dramas Mr Robot and Mozart in the Jungle. Mr Robot also saw Christian Slater picking the best supporting actor in a TV drama role but missing out on the Best Actor award which went to John Hamm for Madmen, and Mozart in the Jungle's Gael Garcia Bernal getting best actor in a TV comedy.
The James Bond film did get a look in with Sam Smith winning best original song, while the best original score went to Enio Morricone for The Hateful Eight, the only award for that film.
