Film - BAFTA Award Winners Announced
The EE British Academy Film Awards have been announced. Here's how close Steve Taylor-Bryant's predictions were...
The BAFTA Film Awards were presented in a lavish and star studded ceremony at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, hosted by Stephen Fry. Wilderness drama The Revenant, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, dominated the awards being presented with Best Film by surprise guest presenter Tom Cruise. Leonardo Di Caprio also won the Best Actor Award and Alejandro G Inarritu took Best Director as well as the film picking up the awards for cinematography and sound. Apocalyptic action movie Mad Max: Fury Road took four awards on the night but all for technical categories, taking make-up and hair, editing, costumes and production design. Sidney Poiter was awarded with the BAFTA Fellowship but was unable to collect his award in person due to ill health, although he sent a video message.
