Film - The Razzie Winners
The big news from the Razzies this year is that the Worst Picture award ended up being a TIE with the Fantastic Four being deemed just as awful as Fifty Shades, which was the film that really cleaned up on the night by winning nearly every award it was nominated for, just missing out on the Worst Director category which went to Josh Trank for Fantastic Four. The dominance (pun intended) of Fifty Shades also meant that travesties such as Jupiter Ascending and Alvin and the Chipmunks got away with only picking up one award each. It was good though to see that the wonderful Sylvester Stallone won the public vote for the Razzie Redeemer award, which is presented to a previous Razzie winner who has gone on to redeem themselves with something far far better in the film world, in Stallone's case it was for Creed.
The Razzies, in case you don't know, are "a light-hearted parody of award shows in general (and The Oscars in particular)" and awards for the WORST rather than best in a wide range of film categories have been presented every year since 1980, making this the 36th event.
