La La Land has gathered 7 nominations in this year's Golden Globes, including Best Motion Picture, Best Actor & Actress, Director, Screenplay, Score and Original Song in the Musical or Comedy categories. Moonlight topped the Movie Drama categories with 6 nominations - Best Motion Picture, Supporting Actor & Actress, Director, Screenplay and Score. In the TV Award nominations, The People vs OJ Simpson came top with 5 nominations, closely followed by The Night Manager with 4.
Other nominations of interest include 2 for Deadpool, gathering Ryan Reynolds a Best Actor nomination as well as going for Best Motion Picture. It's also nice to see Mel Gibson getting a nomination for best director with Hacksaw Ridge. On the TV side, Mr Robot picks up 2 nods, for Best Actor (Rami Malek) and Supporting Actor (Christian Slater) and another 2 nods go to the sublime Mozart in the Jungle with Gael Garcia Bernal up for Best Actor (musical or comedy) and the Amazon Original show itself up for Best Series.
