Film - Golden Raspberry Awards

This year's Razzie Awards have been announced...

Always a day ahead of the Oscars, the Razzies or Golden Raspberry awards, the prize for the best of the worst films of the year, announced their winners over the weekend.

And for the first time an animated film wins the uncoveted Worst Picture award with The Emoji Movie also picking up another three gongs for Worst Screenplay, Screen Combo and Director as it pretty much picked up every award it got a nomination for.  Surprisingly the most nominated film this year, the latest Transformers movie, The Last Knight, with NINE nominations, didn't actually get an award at all (surely this doesn't mean it's any good?!) with Fifty Shades Darker picking up two of its eight nominated awards and The Mummy giving Tom Cruise his first Worst Actor Award, on his third nomination. Mel Gibson also picked up an acting award for Worst Supporting Actor in his role in Daddy's Home 2, with Kim Basinger picking up Worst Supporting Actress and Tyler Perry getting the main Worst Actress award for her stint in BOO! 2... well, boo-hoo.

Instead of a Redeemer Award this year, there seems to have been an award for "So Bad It's Good" sponsored by Rotten Tomatoes which, this year, went to the remake of Baywatch. Really? Is it actually so bad it's good or is it so bad it's just really bad. We're not aiming to find out any time soon.
