NotBaconBits - From Ian Dury to...

As always for #NotBaconBits, once you've listened to today's choice, we're looking for your suggestions for tomorrow's track. A great selection of tunes were suggested for today. @STBwrites went with Ian Dury's film career to get a song by Bush. @OmandOriginal went with a very tenuous link to Bowie's Jean Genie [oh there's a surprise - Ed]. But today's #NotBaconBits track comes from @RenZelen with this:

Ian Dury was singing about Gene Vincent. The other famous ‘Vincent’ song is the one Don McLean wrote about Vincent Van Gogh. I nominate the song 'Euphoria, Take my Hand,' by the Glasgow band Glasvegas, as according to their frontman James Allen, "Euphoria" is a song about choices, "and opposites. The crossroads, man, it's the choices. Vincent Van Gogh, Wheatfield with Crows. The past, man, and the choices you have." Van Gogh's painting* shows a large field of wheat against a dark forbidding sky, with crows circle menacingly overhead. The observer is faced with the indecision of three separate paths in the foreground.
